“A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens

On 5th December Class 10b went to Berlin to see “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens in the theatre.  A Christmas Carol is the famous story where a mean old man, Scrooge is visited by his dead partner Jacob Marley and three ghosts – the Ghost of Christmas Present, the Ghost of Christmas Past and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. A changed man, Scrooge at the end of the story treats everyone with kindness, generosity and compassion, and now embodies the spirit of Christmas.  We were in good company as all year 10 classes from the Saldern Grammar School were there too.  The actors were good and entertaining.  We were all proud that we understood everything.  We managed to get to Berlin and back on public transport without losing anyone.  We would like to take this opportunity of wishing the readers a Merry Christmas and in the words of Charles Dickens “God bless us, everyone”.
